What you'll learn
- What the Exit block is and how it works
- How to end skills within command blocks using the Exit block
What the Exit block does
The Exit block is an incredibly simple Alexa skill in that it ends the skill immediately, regardless of where the user is or what they're doing.
When the Exit block is used the skill ends immediately without any text playing.
The Exit block is not the only way to end an Alexa skill
The Exit block is not the only way to end an Alexa skill. You can also end your skills by reaching the last connected block in the ROOT (main) flow.
How to use the Exit block
Using the Exit block is incredibly easy. All you have to do is link the Exit block when you would like the skill to end.
For example, in our Choice below if the user says the first choice option, a Speak block will play telling the user they made a mistake, followed by an Exit block.
